Gaston/Nolle Scholarships
Sledge/Benedict Fellowships
Pryor Fellowships
Alpha Chi awards $60,000 a year in twenty-six scholarships
and fellowships to individual members. The Gaston/Nolle Scholarship
competition is open to undergraduate members who will be in their
senior year in the award year. The Sledge/Benedict Fellowship
competition is open to undergraduate members who will be in their
first year of graduate or professional study in the award year.
The Pryor Fellowship competition is open to graduate members
and active alumni members who will be in graduate or professional
study in the award year.
Except in the case of active alumni members, applications
must be submitted through the chapter sponsor. Each chapter is
limited a maximum of three applicants: one (1) applicant for
the Pryor Fellowship competition and a total of two applicants
for the undergraduate categories (either two Gaston/Nolle applicants,
two Sledge/Benedict applicants, or one of each). If you are an
Alpha Chi member, check with your chapter sponsor to learn how
to become one of your chapter's nominees. Competition deadlines
are always in February.
Many of Alpha Chi's seven regions also offer
scholarships and fellowships. Contact the appropriate secretary-treasurer
for more information on regional scholarships. Several local
chapters also offer scholarships to their members. Contact your
chapter sponsor for information.
