Assessment Reports 2007-2008
As part of the assessment process, Heritage Inn guests have the opportunity to rate the overall performance of the Inn, the customer service received by hotel staff, and the customer's willingness to return. They also have the opportunity to make suggestions and offer criticisms on guest survey cards. Because to these comments and suggestions the following changes have been made:
- Larger TV's have been purchased
- Hooks were installed on bathroom doors
- Waterproof mattress covers were replaced
- Kitchens in suites have been stocked with more utensils for cooking
- Temperatures in hallway are more closely watched and regulated to provide comfort as well as efficiency
There are also several other ideas that have been submitted that area under consideration for the future.

Assessment Activities:
- By tracking the number of employment inquiries received through verbal, written, and electronic requests, we were able to determine which area produces the most requests. Because of this information, we have been able to enhance the manner in which information reaches those who inquire electronically.
- Information obtained through the assessment program showed a need for a more complete website to be developed. Two of our objectives were to update employee orientation and have basic paperwork completed prior to orientation. Coupling our two objectives with the need of the website upgrade, we created a new website which contains some of the forms needed during the orientation process. When new hires retrieve the forms prior to attending orientation, the result will be a decrease in the amount of time spent in orientation which will save the school time and money.
