Departmental Role
My job as a Biology Technician for the Department of Biology is wide ranging. In addition to assisting in conducting weekly laboratory session for BIOL 271 (Microbiology), I also supervise the laboratory preparation for Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology laboratories. I also teach sections of BIOL 111 (General Biology) and BIOL 113 (Human Structure and Function) for non-majors. My other responsibilities include schedule advising for students, primarily those seeking teaching licensure in Biology. My degree is in Biology and Secondary Education. I will complete a Masters in Education with emphasis in Natural Scinces in 2007.As I complete my fourth year in the Department of Biology at Harding, it is a continued privilege to be part of the process of sharing the constantly changing world of science with new students. It is my goal to use my passion for biology to generate new ideas and directions for our department, and be a conduit of enthusiasm and support to our students. |
