Ornithology will be taught as a special topic (BIOL 314) by Dr. Mills during Intersession '07. Prerequisites are junior standing and permission of the instructor. This is an upper level biology course and meets biology requirement for non-science majors.
Immunology (BIOL 471) will be taught by Dr. Moore during the Fall 2007 semester. Prerequisites are Cell Biology (BIOL 259) and Microbiology (BIOL 271).
- Animal Physiology (BIOL 280) will be offered during the Fall 2007 semester. Drs. Goy and Plummer will team teach this course about functions of the organ systems and their relation to environmental variables.
Toxicology will be offered Spring 2008 as a special topics course (BIOL 314). This course is still in the planning stages.
- Biochemistry 1 will be offered both Fall '07 and Spring '08. Mrs. Goy will teach it in the fall and Dr. Matlock will teach it in the spring.
The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) degree is now available at HU! The new degree has been designed to launch students into career choices such as biological or biochemical research, forensic science, genetics research, professional programs like medical or dental or PA school, and many more choices.
