BNEW 112, BOLD 101, and 6 additional hours. Textual courses are BNEW or BOLD, though BDOC 251 may count toward the requirements in this division. BYFE 234 "Christian Home" may count toward the Textual or Ministry requirements, but not both.

Ministry / Missions / Youth & Family Education
From the divisions of BMIN (Ministry), BYFE (Youth & Family Education) and BMIS (Missions), with at least 2 hours from each division. BMIS 386 counts toward the global literacy requirements in the general education curriculum. BYFE 234 "Christian Home" may count toward the Textual or Ministry requirements, but not both.

Historical / Doctrinal
Any course from BHIS or BDOC divisions, except for BDOC 252, which is required of all majors in the College of Bible, including Vocational Ministry (see below). BDOC 356, "Christian in the 21st Century," is highly recommended.

BDOC 252 - Principles of Biblical Interpretation
This course must be taken for three hours since the required paper is the capstone learning activity of the course. Offered Fall and Spring.

BRES 260 - Orientation to Religious Studies
This course makes up the Research component of the Vocational Ministry major. Offered Fall and Spring.

BNEW 411 - How to Study the Greek-English New Testament
This course makes up the Biblical language component of the Voc. Min. major. Greek 171 (in Searcy or in Athens) fulfills this requirement. Offered Spring only.

BMIN 420(V) Vocational Christian Ministry
This is the capstone course for this major. Offered Fall and Spring.
