Note 1: See Catalog for required prerequisites for all CJ courses plus PSY 382, 407; SWK 410; POLS 425.

Note 2: Major Electives to be chosen from: CJ 350, 450, 470; PSY 380, 382, 407, 415; MGT 368; Bus 317; PRS 371; POLS 435; SWK 395, 410, 411; ENG 281.

Note 3:Students are strongly encouraged to take CJ 470 Internship in Criminal Justice in the fall or spring of Sr. year. Students may take CJ 470 in either the fall or spring semester of Sr. year…but may not take it both semesters.

Note 4: If student plans to enter Masters or Doctoral program in CJ, then PSY 435 (Adv. Research) is a MUST. Prerequisites are: CJ 325 & CJ 330 with a minimum grade of "B" in these courses.

Note 5: Some criminal justice agencies have specific physical requirements in order to qualify for employment. Student should check with the specific agency in which he/she is interested for any applicable requirements.

Note 6: The student seeking a degree in Criminal Justice should be aware that some careers in the criminal justice field require a criminal background check.
