Public Safety Resources
The Department of Public Safety strives to maintain a pro-active approach to campus safety utilizing various resources to patrol and respond to various situations.
Our Vision
To provide a safe Christian environment to the Harding community.
Equipment
One (1) 2005 Chevy Trailblazer and one (1) Chevy Impala. These two vehicles are marked and are equipped to handle a wide variety of situations.
Three (3) professional-grade bicycles. These bicycles are used by trained Bike Patrol Officers and help patrol those areas 
difficult to patrol by car. The department is also equipped to maintain and make limited repairs to the bicycles. Currently, the department uses 2001 GT Avalanche 2.0 bicycles.
Three (3) Gas Powered Golf Carts. The golf carts are used in a patrol capacity as well as for escorts performed by the department on the campus grounds.
All officers are equipped with Kenwood two-way radios and most officers are trained in Mace/Pepper Foam use and decontamination.
Three fully-equipped medical first responder bags, three oxygen tanks, and two AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillator) are readily accessible for all medical emergencies.
