1. Connect the power supply provided into the PWR connector on the LRE device and plug the electrical cord into the electrical socket in the wall.

2. Using the CAT 5 patch cable provided, connect it from the Ethernet card in your computer to the ENET connection on the LRE device.

3. To connect your LRE device to the telephone line, connect a telephone cord from the jack in the wall to the connection marked WALL on the LRE device.

4. In order to use your telephone, plug in a telephone cord from your telephone to the connection marked PHONE on the LRE device.

After you have plugged everything in according to these instructions, turn on your computer and check the lights on the front of the LRE device.

• If the READY light is not on, contact the DormNet Help Desk. Either your telephone line or the LRE connection in our switchroom is not configured properly.

• If the ETH light is not on, check to be sure that your Ethernet card is working, your computer is turned on, and everything is plugged in correctly, with the correct cords.

• If the POWER light is not on, be sure that the power supply is plugged in correctly and securely.

*To connect to the Internet and other network applications, you will need to configure your DormNet settings on your machine according to the instructions for your operating system
