Every student enrolled at Harding University has an account that will allow them to log onto the network in order to use the Internet and their own e-mail account. If you do not know your username, please call the Student Support and Communications Office at (501) 279-4545 and they can tell you what your username is.

What is my password? top

If you are a new student, your password is your birth date in the following format: mmddyy. For example, if your birth date is May 1, 1983, your password would be 050183.

If you are a returning student, your password is the same as it was at the end of last semester.

How can I change my password? top

To change your password, go to https://password.harding.edu. You will then be asked for your username and your current password. Next you will be asked to choose a new password and verify it by typing it twice. Click on change password, and your password should be changed to the password you chose.

Make sure that your new password is between 8 and 12 characters long. You may use any combination of letters, numbers, underscores (_), or a dollar signs ($). Your password IS case sensitive, so you may use capital and lowercase letters to make it more secure.

It is very important to keep your e-mail/Internet account secure at all times. We hope that you aren’t doing anything inappropriate on the network, but there are many hackers out there that just love to see whose account they can compromise. If someone does gain access to your account, they can do all kinds of things like erase your work, send e-mail to others with your name on it, delete your files, etc. etc. etc.

You need to have a good password and change it on a regular basis to keep your account secure. Here are some helpful hints for choosing a good password and keeping your account secure:
