Teacher Education Program
All students who plan to teach must apply for and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Students are required to:
- Be recommended by four faculty members.
- Make a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale with a grade of "C" or better in all education courses and in all prerequisite courses.
- Be admitted to the Teacher Education Program before taking required professional education core courses.
- Pass the Pre-Professional Skills Test (Praxis I).

The following forms must be completed as per their instructions and returned to the Teacher Education office, or come by Thornton Education Center 130 and pick up an information packet. Questions call 279-4050.
