Why go to Grad school?
Spiritual fulfillment: We have all been blessed with different talents. In some fields, however, it is necessary to pursue higher levels of education in order to nurture your talents and reach the fulfillment of your abilities. (Matthew 25:14-30.)
Personal fulfillment: What were your childhood dreams? What do you need to do to reach them? It might seem daunting to have to spend more time in school, but sacrifices in the short term (now) will yield benefits in the long term (the rest of your life!).
Career enhancement: Want to be considered an expert in your field? Having a graduate degree provides a credential that shows you care about being a lifelong learner in your area of expertise. This can make you stand out from the crowd when promotion time or new opportunities roll around.
Serving the greater good: Earning a graduate degree opens new doors for you, meaning that you may have a better chance to make a difference in your field on both the national and international levels.
More money: Lifetime earnings from a master’s degree average $234,000 more than an individual with just a bachelor's degree. If you earn a doctorate, then increase the amount by $504,000 above the master's level. (Source: Experience.com)
