The Center is staffed primarily by Dr Connie Elrod and Carl Walker. Working alongside the staff at the Center are Keith Cronk, Paula Kirby, and Angela Sivia.

Connie provides expertise in developing instructional materials and integrating technology into curriculum, as well as providing principles and applications of instructional design. She has dedicated 15 years to teaching in the k-12 classroom and 12 years at the collegiate level. In the last 11 years, Connie’s academic focus has been on P-20 technology integration. Connie received her Ed.D. from the University of Memphis in Instruction and Curriculum Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Technology. Her doctoral research focused on the factors contributing to the use or non-use of computer technology in a technology-rich environment. Today, Connie enjoys working with faculty and staff as they discover effective and innovative technologies they can integrate into their courses to enrich student’s academic success.

Carl provides expertise in the application of technological devices such as SMART Boards and Student Response Systems to the classroom setting as well as the use of Learning Management Systems like Moodle and associated plugins. With a Master of Education degree in Instructional Technology, Carl enjoys working with faculty to discover new technologies that can have a positive impact on student engagement in any discipline.
Also working with the Center:
Marco is the graduate assistant for the Center for Learning with Technology. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and an M.B.A. in Information Technology. Marco is from Brazil and has been working with Carl and Connie for almost two years now. He provides expertise in audio/video editing, production, and development of tutorials for faculty and staff. He also provides assistance for teachers who are looking for new ways of using technology in their classroom.
Chloe is a student worker pursuing her degree in Public Relations. Her passion for graphic arts has led her to the position of Multimedia and Web Designer for the Center for Learning with Technology. Chloe is from Texas and is a recent addition to the staff. She works to help keep the Center for Learning with Technology up to date with her eye for design and growing Public Relations experience.
