Security News

pantheon

We consider the health, safety and well-being of our students involved in our international programs of the utmost importance. Harding's Dean of International Programs receives world-wide information daily from security officials. In the event of a political, social or natural emergency, the Dean will be in close contact with the on-site director for any of our overseas programs. Pertinent information will be provided here as a quick resource for your convenience.

The Canadian Department of International Trade and Foreign Affairs publishes a useful brochure on travel safety for women.  We recommend that all women students and faculty traveling abroad read this document.

Retired special agent delivers powerful message at Travel Security Seminar

BruceTully

The International Programs office recently hosted a fireside chat at Harding featuring Bruce Tully, retired special agent from the U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service and the U.S. Secret Service. A few dozen Harding students and faculty enrolled in upcoming international programs attended the evening and heard him speak on personal security and travel safety. Mr. Tully currently serves as our international security consultant and is an expert in counter terrorism, personal security and anti-crime operations.
