Rosario Andino - Sept. 13, 2012 7:00. Ms. Andino is a Cuban-born, Russian-trained pianist in the grand style. This will be her fourth appearance on the Harding stage. Ron Radford, flamenco guitarist -Oct. 5, 2012 7:00, Reynolds Recital Hall. A protégé of the legendary Carlos Montoya, Radford lived and traveled in Spain where he immersed himself in the musical wisdom of the Gypsy Flamenco guitar masters. In addition, he had master classes with Andres Segovia, Pepe Romero and Jose Thomas. He is the only individual to be awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Spain in Flamenco guitar. |

La Vera Costanza -Nov. 1, 2012 7:00. La Vera Costanza is a basset-horn trio created by musicians devoted to performance practice on early instruments. Started in 2009, the trio is made up of the clarinetists from the period-instrument orchestra, Concerto Köln. They are based in Cologne, Germany, the European center of early music studies and performance. |

Andrew Granade -Nov. 15, 2012 7:00 Granade is an assistant professor of musicology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City who is equally at home with Michael Jackson, Arnold Schoenberg, Dave Williams, and John Adams. His presentation/performance will explore minimalism in popular and classical music and will be of interest to musicians of all kinds and tastes. |

janus trio -Jan. 22, 2013 7:00 This bright young group play flute, viola, and harp-- and other associated instruments. The Cleveland Plain Dealer calls them "a gem made in heaven and polished to perfection." Their repertoire is varied, innovative, and interesting. |

Swingle Singers -Feb. 26, 2013 7:00 One of the world's best-known vocal ensembles, the Swingles have won five Grammy Awards and produced over 50 recordings. Their repertoire-all purely vocal-includes pop, rock, jazz, latin and classical styles. According to the Los Angeles Times, "Everything about the Swingles is flawless." Carmina Burana - April 11 7:00. FREE! The Harding Chorus will be joined by Harding piano faculty and percussion players in presenting this masterwork by Carl Orff, consisting of musical settings of poems by medieval scholars. The music is familiar, powerful, and beautiful. |

Chris Brubeck and Triple Play -Apr 16, 2013 7:00 Chris (bass, trombone, piano, vocals) is the son of the legendary Dave Brubeck, but he's not just an imitator. He's an outstanding performer and composer whom the Chicago Tribune calls, "A composer with a real flair for lyrical melody - a 21st Century Lenny Bernstein." Triple Play includes Chris, Joel Brown (guitar and vocals), and Peter "Madcat" Ruth (harmonica and vocals), who bring their diverse backgrounds to produce an evening including blues, rock, folk, and jazz. |
