Choral Impact

New Harding students who are interested in singing in one of Harding's choral ensembles are invited to participate in Choral Impact, a branch of Student Impact, held on the Harding campus during the few days before fall classes begin.

Choral Impact will provide an introduction to Harding's choral program and an opportunity to audition for membership in an ensemble.  In addition, participants will be able to attend most of the activities of Harding's Student Impact (www.harding.edu/impact), which runs concurrently with Choral Impact and offers a general orientation to campus life, along with special entertainment and social events.

During Choral Impact, students will be able to move into the dormitory rooms which they will occupy in the fall semester.  The cost is $95, which covers housing, meals, entertainment, instruction, and souvenir items.

The annual Marching Band camp is held on campus from Wednesday through Saturday during the week preceding registration. The camp is a required event for all members and prospective members of the marching band. During the camp, intensive sessions dealing with marching fundamentals and wind/percussion performance are introduced and rehearsed in preparation for the upcoming season.

The marching band camp fee is $30, which covers the cost of food during your time on campus. Dates for the camp are always Wednesday through Saturday during the week of Student Impact.

All interested students are encouraged to check the Band Web site, or call or write the music department band office (501-279-4575).
