Camps

Choral Impact
New Harding students who are interested in singing in one of Harding's choral ensembles are invited to participate in Choral Impact, a branch of Student Impact, held on the Harding campus during the few days before fall classes begin.
Choral Impact will provide an introduction to Harding's choral program and an opportunity to audition for membership in an ensemble. In addition, participants will be able to attend most of the activities of Harding's Student Impact (www.harding.edu/impact), which runs concurrently with Choral Impact and offers a general orientation to campus life, along with special entertainment and social events.
During Choral Impact, students will be able to move into the dormitory rooms which they will occupy in the fall semester. The cost is $95, which covers housing, meals, entertainment, instruction, and souvenir items.
Marching Band Camp
The annual Thundering Herd Marching Band camp is held on campus in August during the week preceding registration. The camp is a required event for all current and prospective members of the Thundering Herd Marching Band. During the camp, intensive sessions dealing with marching fundamentals, wind and percussion performance, and drill are introduced and rehearsed in preparation for the upcoming season. During this camp, members will learn both the pregame show and the first marching show of the season.
The marching band camp fee is $50, which covers the cost of food and camp supplies during your time on campus. Dates for the camp are always Sunday through Friday during the week preceeding the first week of classes.
All interested students are encouraged to check the Band web site, or call or write the band office at 501-279-4575 or band@harding.edu.
