Student Job Openings

The Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy (FMCP) in collaboration with the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) is now accepting applications for twelve internship positions for the 2010 AMCP/FMCP/Pfizer Inc Managed Care Pharmacy Summer Internship Program and for two internships positions for the 2010 AMCP/FMCP/Allergan Inc Specialized Summer Internship Program in Health Outcomes. The goal of the programs is to enhance a student pharmacist's knowledge of managed care pharmacy practice principles and health outcomes research by direct hands-on involvement at managed health care systems and health outcomes research experiential sites.
The selection process is competitive. To be eligible for the AMCP/FMCP Summer Internship Programs, students must be enrolled full-time in their second or third professional year at an ACPE accredited school or college of pharmacy during the 2009-2010 academic year, with anticipated graduation in 2011 or 2012 with a PharmD degree. Three letters of reference must be supplied with each application, one from the dean of the school, one from a pharmacist faculty member and one from a non-relative pharmacist. A student may apply for both programs in the same year. Applications must be submitted online and letters of reference with attached application copies must be postmarked by February 1, 2010. Applicants must be able to complete the internship during a consecutive 10 week period between May and August 2010. Students will find complete program details, eligibility criteria and access to our online application process at FMCP's website www.fmcpnet.org or AMCP's website www.amcp.org.
