Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre
Searcy Summer Dinner Theatre announces our 31st season for 2013!
A summer of Fantastic Family Fun!
Never Too Late - June 6-9, 13-15
Welcome to the 60s! Harry and Edith are a married couple in their fifties who suddenly learn they are going to be parents again. Their last child, a girl, was born 24 years ago and is married - and living at home in a true failure to launch fashion. Problems abound, friends snicker, and hilarity ensues. Proof that it is Never Too Late to laugh, to love, to change.
An Evening of Culture in Faith County - June 27–30, July 4-6
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the south, there’s a place where the bee-hive hairdo is still the rage and Saturday nights are reserved for the tractor pull in nearby Pickler. But right now, all of Mineola County is focused on the Community Theatre which is producing Romeo and Juliet! The cast members don’t have their lines memorized, the set isn’t finished, and a dog keeps barking offstage! A perfect recipe for southern fried culture!
A Year with Frog and Toad (musical) - July 18–21, 25-27
Hop on over and catch this Tony-nominated musical! This whimsical show follows two great friends -- the cheerful, popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad -- through four, fun-filled seasons. Part vaudeville, part make believe, all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures, weathering all seasons with a jazzy, upbeat score. An enchanting musical for the whole family. Bring the kids and grandkids! Spend a year with us!
