General Information
The social aspect of Harding University - the pursuit of an education within a Christian social environment is of paramount importance to the University's mission. The Office of Student Life is responsible for the overview of student activities which includes residential life, personal and social wellness, academic efforts, and emotional and spiritual wellness.
Opportunities abound for cultural growth through participation in music and drama productions, art shows, lectures, and special events. There are also some 50 student organizations, including professional clubs, social clubs, honor societies, athletic teams and special-interest organizations which offer social and recreational opportunities as a part of the total educational process.
The Office of Student Life is also responsible for administering policies concerning student life. These policies are set forth in the Student Handbook, and are designed to produce a positive climate for developing students' potential. A positive learning environment includes special programs which are of particular help in meeting individual student needs. Programs designed to assist students in choosing majors and planning careers, individual counseling, and specific health issues are some of the ways this office is helping to meet student needs.

Anyone with flu-like symptoms (fever, sore throat, headache, body aches, cough, and possibly nausea and vomiting) should immediately contact Health Services at (501) 279-4346
and/or report to the clinic located on Center Street just west of Sears Hall. Health Services will provide students with additional information regarding health care,
as well as methods to prevent the spread of illness to others.
Those with flu-like illness are asked to limit contact with others, except to seek medical care, for at least 24 hours after fever is gone.
