For Alpha Chi Alumni

Although membership in Alpha Chi is for life, we also have a program for alumni who would like to maintain an ongoing relationship with the society. By joining the Active Alumni Program, alumni will receive Alpha Chi's five annual publications (Recorder and Newsletter), invitations to attend and make presentations at regional and national conventions, and application materials for the Pryor Fellowship. The annual fee is just $15, and only Active Alumni are eligible for the Pryor Fellowship.

We currently send invitations to join the Active Alumni Program shortly after the graduation date our members listed on their Permanent Registration Cards, and for those who sign up, renewal notices go out annually. If you are interested in joining this program and do not anticipate receiving the mailing described above, simply contact the national office.

Alumni who are affiliated with an Alpha Chi institution, either as a graduate student or a faculty or staff member, or who live in a community with an Alpha Chi school, are encouraged to support and participate in local chapter activities.

Alpha Chi also has a few Alumni Chapters as provided for in the Constitution. These chapters function autonomously within constitutional guidelines and are welcome to participate in regional and national conventions. Their members are encouraged but not required to pay dues as Active Alumni. Please e-mail the national office for assistance if you wish to begin an Alumni Chapter.
