Daniel Adams, M.F.A. - Professor of Art
Daniel Adams teaches in the Department of Art and Design. He obtained his Master of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, in 1987. He teaches printmaking, bookbinding, letterpress, graphic design, plus history and aesthetic courses. His work is widely exhibited and collected. Adams uses printmaking as a natural form of expression. He is particularly fascinated with the way architecture speaks of human presence in the works. There is a dialog between artist and medium, each responds to the other "making the arts wonderfully unpredictable and much like human culture." Adams must respond to the resistance encountered with the grain of the wood. There is an ongoing give and take for each to survive and flourish.

Paul Pitt, M.F.A. - Professor of Art
Even as a child the desire to "make something" was powerful within Paul Pitt although sometimes he did not know what he wanted to make. Paul's father was a welder/fabricator and had built a workshop outside their backdoor. There were many tools available and with enough materials his creation of form took off and is still going strong today. Experiences as an art student in high school, college and graduate school allowed this compulsion within to run rampant. Then his art-teaching career reinforced the train of expression because he had always felt that one of the best ways to teach is by example. Although Paul loves drawing and painting his work for the most part has been three-dimensional with clay, metal and wood. It has been sent cross the USA and to several other firstname.lastname@example.org
