Warren Casey
Dr. Casey, a native of New Orleans, joined the Harding University faculty in 1982 after teaching six years in Oklahoma. He holds the Ph.D. in Music Education from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of several music associations including Music Educators National Conference, International Association of Jazz Educators, Phi Beta Mu.
Casey is an active member of the International Association of Jazz Educators having served several years as President of the Arkansas Unit of IAJE. He is currently Treasurer of the Arkansas Unit. He has been the guest conductor/clinician for the Arkansas All-State Jazz Band and is active as a clinician and adjudicator throughout Arkansas and the southeast.
Dr. Casey is an honorary member of the Filarmonica Vincenzo Bellini di Scandicci (Italy) serving as guest conductor and performer in their ensembles since 1996. His full-time teaching load consists of Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Orchestration, Music Education classes and the Jazz Band. Dr. Casey also coordinates the student teaching program in Music Education for the Department of Music. He is married to Suzanne (Burcham) Casey and they have two children, Chris and Katie.
