The Good News Singers is an a cappella performance group sponsored by the Harding University Department of Music. The group performs a variety of uplifting spiritual songs for churches and other organizations across the country. Specializing in close harmony and soul stirring arrangements, the Good News Singers lead worship and praise assemblies for all ages. Their repertoire includes hymns, southern gospel songs, spirituals, devotional songs and original tunes.

CHUCK HICKS is the director of Good News Singers. He received his M.S.E. from Harding in 1997 and has a strong background in the field of music, particularly in performance and stringed instruments. His musical talents have been interspersed with graphic design and marketing experience. Active in the university's International Campaigns program for eleven years, Hicks has taken student groups to Germany and Hungary. He teaches private guitar in the Department of Music and also directs the Belles and Beaux.
