Biol 352: Plant Taxonomy
This upper level course explores the history and basic principles of plant classification and identification. Classroom and laboratory work stress the structural characteristics of vascular plant families and the use of field manuals in identifying components of local flora. This course would be very helpful for those planning careers in Forestry, Agriculture, and Fish and Game Management.
Mr. Doran has opened this course to junior and senior biology majors who have not yet taken Botany (BIOL 122). It can substitute for the Botany degree requirement. This is a great opportunity to satisfy that requirement and earn upper level course credit.
See Mr. Doran (Pryor-England Rm 135, doran@harding.edu) for details and approval.
Three lectures and 3 hours of laboratory or field work per week (4 credit hours).
