Special Offerings for Spring 2009:

  • photoMarine Biology (BIOL 310) will be taught by Dr. Goy. Prerequisite is Zoology (BIOL 121).

  • Ornithology will be taught as a special topic (BIOL 314) by Dr. Mills during Intersession '09. Prerequisites are junior standing and permission of the instructor. This is an upper level biology course and meets biology requirement for non-science majors.

  • photoImmunology (BIOL 471) will be offered during the Spring 2009 semester. Dr. Moore will teach this course on the principles of the immune system. It has a lab that will meet TBA. Prerequisties are Cell Biology (BIOL 259) and Microbiology (BIOL 271).

  • Biochemistry I and II will be offered Spring '09. Dr. Moon will teach Biochem II and Dr. Matlock will conduct Biochem I as an on-line class.

Newest Degree Program:

The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) degree is now available at HU! The new degree has been designed to launch students into career choices such as biological or biochemical research, forensic science, genetics research, professional programs like medical or dental or PA school, and many more choices.
