Special Offerings for '08-'09:

  • photoDevelopmental Biology (BIOL 314) will be taught by Mrs. Goy and Dr. Plummer during the Fall 2008 semester. Prerequisites are Cell Biology (BIOL 259) and Genetics (BIOL 315).

  • Ornithology will be taught as a special topic (BIOL 314) by Dr. Mills during Intersession '09. Prerequisites are junior standing and permission of the instructor. This is an upper level biology course and meets biology requirement for non-science majors.

  • Vertebrate Morphology (BIOL 261) will be offered during the Fall 2008 semester. Mr. Cooper will teach this course on comparative structure and function of the vertebrates. It has an extensive dissection experience (the cat) as a part of lab. Prerequisite is sophomore standing.

  • Biochemistry 1 will be offered both Fall '08 and Spring '09. Dr. Matlock will conduct these classes on-line.

Newest Degree Program:

The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB) degree is now available at HU! The new degree has been designed to launch students into career choices such as biological or biochemical research, forensic science, genetics research, professional programs like medical or dental or PA school, and many more choices.
