I am thankful for your decision to become a teacher!  The teaching profession will provide opportunities for you to live a life of service to wonderful students, their parents, your teaching peers and your administrators.  The importance of this career choice is seen in the following statement:  "Teaching...the profession that makes all others possible."

Husband

Zearl Watson, now retired from 25 years as Director of Student Financial Services at Harding University.

Children:

David, who completed an MSE at Harding in Kinesiology and Education, May 2001. He now works in the nuclear medicine lab at University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Zac, who completed an MSE at Harding in English and Education , July, 2001. Zac is currently teaching English at Rochester College in Rochester Hills, Michigan

April (Daughter-in-law), wife of David, is a stay at home mom.

Grandchildren: Mackenzie and Josiah

Honors:

Designated as a Distinguished Professor from Harding University, May, 1997.

Received the Outstanding Alumnus in Education Award from Rochester College, August, 2000.
