Your choice of Harding is one that we believe you will find most beneficial. We look forward to helping you prepare to serve our Lord and his church.
Youth and family ministry is becoming a most crucial congregational ministry. The ministry preparation you will receive at Harding will prepare you for the challenges of this most exciting and needed ministry. Every effort will be made to prepare you to meet both the challenges of today's society and provide you with the tools to adapt to rapid changes in tomorrow's society.
Every semester you will have an opportunity to meet and study with youth ministers on the field. Summer internships will give you further hands-on opportunities. Our Youth and Family Education Lab is developing a wealth of valuable information for the youth minister. There is not a better time to be preparing for a career in youth ministry.
The relationships you will build with God, other students, and with teens will prepare you for service in a special and unique way. On these Web pages, we have tried to include as much information as possible about the youth and family ministry major so that you can get a head start on your college education.
Another important and often neglected area of preparation is religious education. Those choosing this major will find their preparation to be a blessing to congregations of all shapes and sizes. Local congregations are constantly seeking those who can help provide answers to the difficult issues of Bible instruction at a congregational level.
