Choir Life
Choir provides an enriching blend of educational, religious, and social experiences. The personal interaction of the members provides a framework for the group to accomplish its mission.
Friendships begin to form as soon as school starts in the fall. Auditions take place on campus four days before school begins.
Traditionally the first activity for the group will be their first formal concert at Harding's Bible Lectureship in September.
The remainder of the fall semester consists of concerts on and close to campus and an occasional full-day or overnight tour.
In the spring semester the Choir participates in festivals and workshops, other special activities such as the winter banquet; and short overnight trips.
Rehearsals and concerts provide members the experience of developing musical skills; integrating faith and witness with musical performance; forming and strengthening social ties; and applying instruction and experiences to the formation of life skills. Students find that the Choir experience broadens their horizons and creates an appreciation for people and other cultures.
