An introductory survey of the plant kingdom from prokaryotes to the flowering plants. Topics discussed include the identification, classification, life histories, and the importance of plants.                   Credit............4 hours. [3 for lecture, 1 for lab]

Supplies needed: colored pencils, single edged razor blades.

Points will be derived from:

The professor reserves the right to add bonus points for exceptional class and lab participation and to add negative points for inappropriate behavior.

ABSENCES: You are paying for this course -- get what you paid for by attending class regularly.
After three unexcused absences each additional unexcused absence will result in a final grade reduction of 2 % points.
Tests missed due to an officially excused reason need to be made up within one week or they become a zero.
Unexcused missed tests will be recorded as a zero.
Anyone missing more than 6 classes unexcused will be dropped from the class. (one lab = two classes, 3 tardies=1 absence)
