The Master of Education in Advanced Studies in Teaching and Learning (ASTL) offers advanced study in assessment, use of technology and research. All classes are aligned with National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and will provide support for you to develop necessary skills for pursuing National Board certification. If you want to become a teacher who practices reflection through research, problem-based learning and self-inquiry, the ASTL program is for you.
The M.Ed. in ASTL consists of 35 hours. Those who have taken the 6 hours of National Board candidate support classes may use those hours towards this degree.

Please note: This program requires you to have a valid teaching license and one (1) year of teaching or education-related experience. It also requires you to take comprehensive exams before graduation.
