Graduate Programs - Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction

What is the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction?

The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction will grant you Curriculum Program Administrator licensure in either Curriculum or Special Education. If you want to be a part of curriculum development and administration at the district level, the M.Ed. in Curriculum is for you!

What courses are required?

The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction consists of 37 hours, including 4 hours of internship. Please see the curriculum plans below for more information.

M.Ed. Curriculum Program Administrator: Special Education Curriculum Plan (PDF)

If you already have a valid educationally related master's degree, you may be interested in the CPA: Curriculum or CPA: Special Education programs of study. We also offer an Instructional Facilitator Endorsement that deals with curriculum at the building level, rather than district level.

For current course schedules, please visit the Graduate Programs.

Please note: This program requires you to have a valid teaching license. It does NOT require you to take comprehensive exams before graduation but you will be expected to prepare and present a professional portfolio.

For additional information about this program, you may want to consult the Catalog. (Be sure to select the Graduate & Professional Catalog for the current school year from the drop-down menu).
