Cannon-Clary College of Education

Teacher Education Program

All students who plan to teach must apply for and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program. Students are required to:

  • Be recommended by four faculty members.
  • Make a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale with a grade of "C" or better in all education courses and in all prerequisite courses.
  • Be admitted to the Teacher Education Program before taking required professional education core courses.
  • Pass the Pre-Professional Skills Test (Praxis I).
