Entrance Counseling Requirements
Prior to receiving a student loan, all borrowers must complete online entrance loan counseling. In addition, during the first semester of classes at Harding University, new students and transfer students seeking financial aid are required to attend a financial aid seminar.
Online Loan Counseling (Entrance)
Prior to receiving a student loan, all borrowers must complete online entrance loan counseling. The purpose of the counseling is to ensure that you understand your loan repayment responsibilities. After successfully completing online Stafford loan entrance counseling, allow at least two business days before your Pipeline information is updated. If Pipeline is not updated in a reasonable time, please contact the student financial services office at 501-279-4257.

Upon graduation, dropping below half-time enrollment, or withdrawal from Harding, all loan borrowers must return to this website to complete online student loan transition guide.
Online Loan Counseling (Exit)
The purpose of the online exit counseling is to ensure that you understand your loan repayment responsibilities.
Exit Counseling for All Students: Stafford Loan Transition Guide
After completing this requirement, you are also encouraged to contact your lender to inform them of your graduation date. If you withdraw you may also be required to return all or a portion of their aid awarded.
Perkins Loan Repayment Agreement (Required for Perkins Borrowers Only)
Perkins and Nursing Loans are Federal loans serviced through the Student Loan Office at Harding. Harding University is the lender and ECSI is the billing servicer for Harding.
If you have received a Federal Perkins or Nursing loan, you will need to complete an online exit counseling separate from the Stafford loan at www.ecsi.net. *
*transcripts will not be released until the required exit counseling is completed
At www.ecsi.net, borrows can access their Perkins and Nursing loan accounts, download forms for deferment/cancellation, and update their demographic information. They may call (toll-free) 1-888-549-3274 to access their account with ECSI for the first time.
Perkins and Nursing loans may be consolidated with Stafford loans. However, they must list Harding as a separate lender for these loans. You would not want to consolidate you Perkins if it qualifies for cancellation. Cancellation is not possible after consolidation.
