The Game Day Challenge is an initiative of the Environmental Protection Agency and is a friendly competition for universities and colleges to reduce waste at a football game in October.  Schools are compared based on attendees and the total waste that was reduced at the game.  Categories include: least amount of waste generated per attendee, highest recycling and composting rate and greatest greenhouse gas reduction.  Bison fans are needed to help meet this challenge and make our football game green!

Schedule for Saturday:

8:30 Registration starts for “Tour de Challenge” bike ride at the GAC lawn.

9:00 “Tour de Challenge” : Ten and twenty-eight mile bike rides begin. Contact Bisionbikes@yahoo.comto register or for more details.

11:00 Tailgate event on GAC lawn: Students can use meal plans, $7.50 for public. All products used will be recyclable or biodegradable.

2:00 Football game vs. UAM where we will reduce, reuse and recycle waste.
