Graduation Information

Graduation can be a very exciting time of your life...but also very stressful!  The following information is provided by the Academic Affairs office in order to make your transition a little easier.  It helps to tackle your responsibilities ahead of time, so that when graduation week arrives, you can enjoy your special day.  Listed below, you will find a graduation week breakdown of the events or responsibilities you need to complete.  You will also find a list of correct tassel colors you will pick up in the Bookstore with your gown.  Please contact our office with any graduation questions.  The Academic Affairs office is located in the Administration Building 102, you mail email vpaa@harding.edu, or call 279-4335.

Graduation Dates:

Spring 2009 - May 9, 2009

Summer 2009 - July 25, 2009

Fall 2009 - December 19, 2009

Spring 2010 -  May 8, 2010

Summer 2010 - July 31, 2010

Fall 2010 - December 18, 2010

Graduation Week Activities:

Tuesday:  Caps and gowns may be picked up in the Harding Bookstore between 9 am and 4:30 pm.  They will be available throughout the week and on Saturday morning before graduation.  If you pre-ordered a packet, it will be ready with your name on it.  Extra packets will be available by size.  Be certain you get the correct color of tassel for your degree (list below).

Wednesday:  Copies of the Line of March will be available in the VPAA office or on the Pipeline homepage by 3 pm. 

Thursday:  Rehearsal at 4 pm in the Benson Auditorium (fall or summer commencement) or Ganus Athletic Center (spring commencement).  Information you will need is provided in the Line of March.  Please print or pick up your copy to take to rehearsal. Check all instructions carefully!  If you are concerned about the pronunciation of your name, see the Dean of your College at rehearsal.  They appreciate your help in preparing for the ceremony.
