Welcome Alumni and Friends of the History House
We invite you to visit the History House where items that were previously displayed in the Associated Women for Harding House and the Bracket Library may now be viewed with miscellaneous memorabilia once scattered around campus.
The History House is conveniently located at 205 South Lott Tucker Drive. The house is fully staffed by volunteers from 1-4, Monday, Wednesday and Friday with extended hours during Homecoming and other special campus events.
The History House welcomes guest with two large gallery rooms that all our guests to relive Harding University's rich heritage. In the large front east room, view a chronological progression, highlighting key events from each decade. The large back west room pays honor to the president and Christian servants affiliated with the University.
Two smaller rooms are dedicated the history of AWH, social clubs and campus life through the decades.
The garden housing the original Galloway gates from Galloway College serve as the anchor at the south entrance. The gate is encircled by stone displaying Iris cultivated by the White County Iris Society.
