What is the Institute for Church & Family? The Institute for Church & Family is a non-profit and non-academic branch of Harding University whose purpose is to strengthen churches and families. The Institute does this through publications such as Church & Family magazine, which is published three times a year; and the Arkansas Christian Herald, published monthly for Churches of Christ in Arkansas. Furthermore, the Institute is responsible for coordinating annual events that strengthen both churches and families including the Annual Harding Lectureship, Uplift, Uplift Family Encampment, Arkansas Ministers & Wives Day plus a variety of seminars and workshops.
Purpose for the Institute for Church & FamilyCurrent social and moral issues pose baffling challenges to the Christian community. Embattled families and churches are seeking practical responses to growing threats against biblical values that are unprecedented in American history. Too often, the search for meaningful resources ends in frustration. In response, the Institute for Church & Family seeks to help resolve this difficulty by producing quality publications and spiritually minded events to support churches and families in order to flourish in a hostile environment.
