REQUIRED: PARENT SIGNATURE FORM for parent/guardian of students who have enrolled in an international program. The form must be completed and returned to the International Programs office as soon as possible. (Viewable and printable only for enrolled International Programs students and parents/guardians.) The following information is helpful for the student who has already enrolled. (Viewable and printable only for enrolled International Programs students and parents/guardians.) Application Check List (To aid the student in completing required information in proper sequence.) Change of Plans (Policies that govern change of plans circumstances.) Independent Study Form (Must be completed if student chooses to enroll in an independent study course while studying abroad.) Housing Information (To reserve a dorm room for the semester following the semester abroad.) Passport & International Travel Information (Bureau of Consular Affairs, U.S. Department of State) Free Travel Information (For students enrolled in a European program.) Italian Study Visa Packet (For HUF Summer 2010 enrolled students and their parents.) The International Program Student Manuals provide important information for students who will study abroad in Italy, Greece, Australia, England, Paris and Latin America. All International Program students are required to pass several quizzes over the information in the manual of their particular program. This information is found on the student's Moodle account. The manuals below are provided for the parents/guardians of students who study abroad in the hope that they will be informed concerning their sons and daughters semester in an International Program. HUF manual   HUG manual   HUA manual   HUE manual   HULA manual   HIP manual BAGGAGE FEES: NEW AIRLINE REGULATIONS... Until recently airlines allowed passengers to carry two 50 lb. bags for international destinations without a fee. Now they are charging $50 for the second (checked-on) bag to all international destinations. Beginning in the Fall 2009, students will be permitted only one suitcase of up to 50 lbs to check on the plane and one carry-on bag (backpack). Keep in mind that this suitcase must not weigh more than 50 lbs or the airlines will charge you a fee. If you voluntarily choose to take a second checked-on suitcase, YOU will have to pay the $50 (no matter if it weighs 5 lbs or 49 lbs) for the departure flight and the return flight home. We recommend that you check the airline website soon before your departure date for updates. Shipping Luggage from HUF (Free travel luggage tips for HUF students.) We understand that sometimes students need an additional loan or scholarship to supplement the cost of their semester abroad.
