Editor's Note:
First off-- We don't have children
yet. Consequently, this list is derived from a list of what we
(my husband & I) enjoyed reading at various ages.
I will try to include a brief description to tantalize the reader
and any pertinent information for the discerning parent. I
enjoy fantasy fiction and mysteries, and my husband likes mysteries,
westerns and science fiction. I only occasionally read the books
about kids my own age. Most of the time I really didn't
want to read about angst in gym class. I had enough of my own -- why

fun? I am also hoping that some of my
bibliophile friends and relations will also contribute to this running

that what I read is not always at the same level as when the average
