Brackett Library

What is ARKLink?
ARKLink is an organization of Arkansas libraries whose goal is to facilitate cooperation and expand access to resources among member libraries around the state.

What is an ARKLink library card?
The ARKLink library card allows the card holder to borrow library materials from participating ARKLink libraries. At some institutions it will allow the card holder in-house access to print and electronic resources. Specific policies and privileges are determined by each participating library.

How do I obtain an ARKLink library card?
Harding University students, faculty and staff may apply for an ARKLink card by either:

  • Completing the short online application form. The ARKLink card will be mailed to your campus mailbox if the application is approved. For distance education students, the ARKLink card will be mailed to your home address
  • Visiting the Brackett Library Circulation or Information Desk to obtain an application form. Completed forms should be returned to the Circulation Desk. The ARKLink card will be mailed to your campus mailbox if the application is approved.

To be approved for an ARKLink borrowing card, one must be a Harding University student, faculty or staff member who is in good standing at Brackett Library. Brackett Library reserves the right to refuse or cancel ARKLink borrowing privileges if the card holder abuses their borrowing privileges at Harding University or any other ARKLink member library.

ARKLink’s policy states that borrowing cards must be renewed each semester for students and each year for faculty.   Students may submit a renewal request AFTER each semester’s registration date and faculty may submit a renewal request AFTER May 1.

What are my responsibilities as an ARKLink borrower?
As with any library borrowing privileges, the borrower agrees to abide by the lending institution's policies in regards to loan periods, renewals, late fees, and lost book fines.

Where can I use my ARKLink card?
The members currently participating in this resource sharing agreement are listed on the ARKLink website.

Where can I get more information about ARKLink services?
The ARKLink website contains detailed information about policies, participants, and governance.
