July 6, 2005 Harding offers degree completion programSEARCY - Beginning this fall, Harding University will offer a degree completion program leading to a bachelor of arts in leadership and management. The intensive, fast-track program is meant for students 23 years of age or older who have 60 or more hours of college credit. It will be delivered from the Harding University Professional Center in North Little Rock and online. The leadership and management major addresses the foundations of business practice, sound management issues and leadership qualities. The major will equip graduates to pursue an advanced career in management within a wide variety of organizations and will challenge students to be effective, ethical and respected leaders. Says Keith Cronk, director of the Center for Adult and Extended Education, through which the degree completion program is offered, "The courses in this dynamic adult-learning program are relevant to business and leadership and are flexible enough for the working adult learner to finally complete his or her degree." Most classes will meet once per week after hours over a six-week term. Three courses will be offered online. The schedule is aggressive enough to allow for completion in the shortest possible time. In addition to the 60 hours of previous transferable college credit the student brings and the 50 hours the program provides, students must complete an additional 18 hours of credit to meet the 128-hour graduation requirement. Classes begin in August. For more information, contact the Center for Adult and Extended Education at (501) 279-4438, (501) 758-4857, or e-mail dcp@harding.edu. For more information contact: |
