Dinesh D'Souza to begin Harding lecture series
SEARCY, Ark. – Dinesh D'Souza will begin the Harding University American Studies Institute 2008-09 Distinguished Lecture Series September 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Benson Auditorium. He will be speaking on the topic "McCain, Obama and the War on Terror."D'Souza is the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He also served as John M. Olin Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. In 1987-88, he was senior policy analyst at the Reagan White House; and from 1985-1987, he was managing editor of Policy Review.
Investor's Business Daily has called him one of the "top young public policy-makers in the country." The New York Times Magazine has named him one of America's most influential conservative thinkers. The World Affairs Council lists him as one of the nation's leading authorities on international issues.
D'Souza's books have had a major influence on public opinion and public policy. His most recent book, What's So Great About Christianity, is the comprehensive answer to a series of atheist books denouncing theism and Christianity. In 2002, He published The New York Times bestseller What's So Great About America. His articles have appeared in many major magazines and newspapers and he has appeared on numerous television news programs.
