Harding University is now part of iTunes U
SEARCY, Ark. – Harding University was recently accepted as a recognized site on iTunes U. It is the only university in Arkansas listed in the colleges and universities directory on iTunes U.Harding has been building its presence on iTunes U for the past 18 months. The site offers a variety of content including: two years of chapel, four Bible courses, Harding University music, Harding sports and much more. It also gives faculty the opportunity to make course materials easily accessible to students.
"I think it provides some interesting and exciting opportunities for a wide range of activities," said Keith Cronk, vice president of Information Systems and Technology.
Harding's iTunes U site can be accessed through the iTunes store by searching Harding University and clicking iTunes U.
ITunes U is part of iTunes from Apple Computer Inc. It is designed to provide access to educational information and media rich material anytime from any computer. Downloading videos and audio from iTunes U is free and can be available to anyone including parents and alumni.
Harding had a record enrollment this year of more than 6,500 students from 50 states and 55 foreign countries. It is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France/Switzerland, Greece, Italy and Zambia.
