Harding University engineering programs achieve accreditation

SEARCY, Ark. — Harding University’s electrical and mechanical
engineering programs have received accreditation from the Engineering
Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering
and Technology.

Housed in the engineering and physics department, the electrical and
mechanical engineering programs began in fall 2004. The computer
engineering program, which started in fall 2000, was accredited
separately in 2007.

“Having our electrical and mechanical programs accredited now, along
with the computer engineering program, demonstrates Harding’s
commitment to excellence in a broad range of academic degree
programs,” says Dr. Larry Long, vice president of academic affairs at
Harding.
