Auditions to be held at Harding for Homecoming musical “Scrooge”

SEARCY, Ark. – Open auditions for Harding University’s 2009 Homecoming
musical, “Scrooge,” will be held Friday, August 28, and Saturday,
August 29, for children in second grade through high school in Benson
Auditorium. Callbacks will be Sunday, August 30. The musical will be
staged October 28-31 during Harding’s annual Homecoming weekend
festivities.

Director Robin Miller, professor of communication and director of the
theatre program, says he needs children and young people who meet the
following requirements: a good student, well-behaved and able to take
direction, able to do simple choreography, and under 5’ tall for roles
as urchins in the town and members of the Cratchitt family, including
a feature role as Tiny Tim.

Auditions are open to all White County area students – public, private
and home schooled. Audition packets are available in the Reynolds
Music and Communication Building off Beebe-Capps Expressway. Those
interested will need to pick up the packet and sign up for an audition
time slot at the bulletin board opposite room C223 as soon as
possible.
