Harding University gains successful review by state nursing board
SEARCY, Ark. ⎯ Harding University’s College of Nursing has received
continued approval from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
In accordance with state law, ASBN reviews all nursing programs for
registered nurse licensure every five years. All aspects of the
program are evaluated to ensure they meet legal requirements enforced
by the state.
Harding faculty and staff prepared an extensive report regarding
curriculum, textbooks, faculty credentials, learning resources,
clinical arrangements, student policies, graduation rates and all
other facets of the program.
The report was reviewed by ASBN at their monthly meeting in May.
Harding received continuing approval with no recommendations through
2014. The University’s nursing program has been approved by ASBN since
1975 when the first class began.
