Harding University interior design students win competition
SEARCY, Ark. – Six Harding University interior design students competed at a regional American Society of Interior Designers "Career Day" in Hattiesburg, Miss. February 7. The competition was for interior design programs from schools in Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
The students and their awards are Kaitlin Coss, honorable mention in residential design; Michael Fittz, honorable mention in team projects; Clarissa Young, honorable mention in team projects and second place in hand-rendering; Ashley Green, second place in institutional design; Stacey Geraci, first place in institutional design and first place in hand-rendering; and Rachel McMahan, honorable mention in hand-rendering.
"These students work extremely hard on their interior design projects," said Amy Cox, director of interior design. "Winning this competition rewards students for their hard work and also makes them aware of the skill and expertise that goes into an interior design project."
These students are members of the ASID, Harding Student Chapter. ASID is the leading organization for interior design professionals. It is a community of people who share a love for design and believe that it is a powerful, multi-faceted profession that can positively change lives.
