Harding Young Adult Author Series to wrap up with noted author
SEARCY, Ark.⎯Harding University will host author Jennifer Holm April
24-25 in the American Heritage Center, wrapping up the 2008-2009 Young
Adult Author Series.
Sponsored by the University’s graduate reading program, the series
gives teachers and students an opportunity to hear firsthand from

of her great aunt’s diary. It received a 2000 Newbery Honor and
Parents’ Choice Silver Honor and was named Publishers Weekly Best
Book. Other award-winning works include Penny from Heaven and Part of
Me.
Authors Kirby Larson, D. Anne Love, Neal Shusterman, Trenton Lee
Stewart, and Jacqueline Woodson have also participated in the series.
The weekend conference begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until
Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Activities include dinner with the author,
numerous discussion sessions, and a book signing.
Cost for the entire weekend is $125 for first-time attendees.
