Harding University orchestra presents Mendelssohn, Mozart
SEARCY, Ark.—On Tuesday, Feb. 24, the full orchestra at Harding University will perform at 7 p.m. in the Administration Auditorium. Admission is free.
The program features movements three and four from Symphony No. 5, "Reformation" by Felix Mendelssohn. The orchestra will also play excerpts from the Finale of Act II from "The Magic Flute" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Twelve vocalists, coached by Dr. Arthur Shearin, will join the orchestra with vocal performances of character roles from Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute."
This is the first time the full orchestra will perform together this school year. Prior to this concert, only stringed instruments have performed.
