Harding University Wind Ensemble presents concert with Riverview High School Band
SEARCY, Ark.—The Administration Auditorium will resound with musical energy March 3. The Harding University Wind Ensemble and the Riverview High School Band will present their program at 7 p.m.
Four separate groups will perform in the course of the evening. The Harding University Wind Ensemble will begin the program with a performance of Jacob’s “The Galloping Major March,” movements two and three from Booker’s “Symphony No. 1,” movement two from Ward’s “Four Abstractions for Band,” and Camphouse’s “Yosemite Autumn.”
The wind ensemble will collaborate with the Riverview High School Band on two pieces to be announced. Following that joint effort, a percussion ensemble will present a piece. The Harding University Chamber Winds, a small subsection of the wind ensemble comprised largely of music majors, will present Suzuki’s “Carmen Fantasy” and Holst’s “Second Suite in F.” To close the evening, the wind ensemble will perform Ewazen’s “Celtic Dances.”
The public is encouraged to attend this free program. For more information, call 501-279-4316.
