Harding University celebrates longtime leader

SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding University community will gather Friday, Feb. 4, to celebrate the life and work of Floyd Daniel as he turns 80.

Daniel, senior vice president, is starting his 48th year at Harding and has raised more than $65 million for Christian education at the university. He is a member of College Church of Christ where he has served as an elder for many years.

The birthday celebration will take place Friday, Feb. 4, with a special program from 2 to 2:30 p.m. and a come-and-go reception from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Founders Room on the second floor of the American Heritage Center. Members of the community who know Mr. Daniel are invited to attend.
